I love helping my clients define their personal style. Most of the clients I work with just don’t know how to do it anymore… Or they do, but they really don’t have the time… Or, they have some really good pieces, but they don’t know how to put them together… Or, they walk into a store and don’t know where to start.. .Or, they know exactly what they want and they just need help finding it. You get the idea. I think I have the coolest job in the world, for me.

Jessie Carlson Wardrobe has been going for over 10 years. When Nordstrom decided to open their doors in Vancouver, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I joined the Nordstrom team in September and have had a ball dressing my clients, their husbands, and their children. There is something for everyone in the store.

I said I would talk about colour this week, didn’t I?

Coloured jeans then.. By now you have likely seen all the coloured jeans around. I prefer the red J Brands.

With a belt, a good belt is key, Rag and Bone.

A flawless black t shirt, Aexander Wang.

Ooooh and the wedge.. I love these, I know they are high, and they may be too much for some of you.. But trust me, they are so cool. Marc Jacobs.

Or you could do the Rachel Comey bootie, another favourite.

I realize that besides the jeans everything is black, if you take issue with this you could always wear a grey t-shirt..

Or you could just include the medium PS1 bag, in Military. Such a great bag..

Easy.. It has to be easy..

So, we will start with jeans, Current Elliot. I just bought these and have worn them over and over.

A drapey t-shirt or tank, as usual, MCQ.

Can you tell this one is white? White and grey.. That’s all I wear these days.

A blazer.. Maison Martin Margiela, this is perfect.

Short motorcycle boots, Topshop.. Topshop just came into The Bay, it’s so fun.

Classic bag, Maison Martin Margiela again.. It’s too great not to own.

Would you believe me if I said all of this is at The Bay?

It is.

I would also wear a scarf, and pearl earrings since I am kind of preppy that way.
